Angela Valella (b. 1948, Havana): An artist, curator and educator, Valella has had solo exhibitions at the Buena Vista Building and the Miami Dade Library in South Florida, and at the Colby Gallery in Chicago.  She has participated in group shows held at various Miami galleries, and at the Art & Culture Center of Hollywood, the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center in Pueblo, Colorado, the Museo de Arte Moderno in Guatemala and the Chico Zapote Gallery in Mexico. Valella was part of the founding faculty charged with creating the art curriculum for the Design Architecture Senior High School (DASH) in Miami. She co-founded 801 Projects, which between 2005 and 2011 provided an alternative space dedicated to promote arts in Miami. In 2012, she conceptualized The Nightclub, which she describes as "a nomadic platform that attempts to build a dialogue among diverse artistic practices and practitioners through curated exhibitions." Valella received a Bachelor’s in fine arts from Florida Atlantic University. (Cintas for art, 2013-14)
