Abreu, Iván

Iván Abreu (b. 1967, Havana): Abreu's work incorporates multiple media, such as electronic devices, software development, sound experimentation, Internet, industrial design, documents, video and photography. His work has been exhibited internationally, at venues that include Greusslich Contemporary in Berlin; the Stanlee and Gerald Rubin Center for the Visual Arts in El Paso, Texas; the Portugal Biennial; PAN Palazzo delle Arti Napoli, in Italy, and the NTU School of Art, Design and Media, in Singapore. Abreu is the recipient of a grant from the National System of Art Creators of the National Fund for Culture and the Arts of Mexico (FONCA). In 2012, his photography was selected for a group photo exhibition at the Rio+ 20 Climate Change Summit. Abreu has a Master Degree of Information Engineering from Anahuac University.
