José Manuel Rodeiro (b. Tampa, 1949): A professor of art history at New Jersey City University, Rodeiro is the winner of a Fulbright Fellowship to conduct art historical research and paint in Nicaragua, and of a visual arts fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Rodeiro also received an Inter-American Development Bank grant to curate, write a catalogue and tour contemporary Nicaraguan art through the Mid-Atlantic region. He exhibits his work widely in the United States. Rodeiro holds a Ph.D. from the College of Fine Arts in Ohio, a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Pratt Institute and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tampa.
